The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed a total of ₦2.300 trillion in revenue among the federal, state, and local governments for May 2026.

The disbursement, announced following the committee’s latest meeting, marks a significant pool of resources aimed at driving governance and infrastructural development across all tiers of government.

The total sum comprises distributable statutory revenue, Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) revenue, and Exchange Gain revenue.

As customary, the Federal Government received the highest share, followed by the 36 State Governments and the 774 Local Government Councils. Derivation funds were also allocated to oil-producing states.

The substantial allocation was bolstered by significant contributions from key revenue-generating agencies, reflecting a steady inflow of national earnings during the month.

The federal, state, and local administrations are expected to utilize these funds to meet statutory obligations, clear outstanding liabilities, and fund critical public projects.
