The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation has announced plans to drive its 2027 presidential election engagements through issue-based, citizen-driven consultations across all six geopolitical zones.
​Speaking at a press conference on Sunday afternoon, September 20, 2026, in Abuja, Anthony Ehilebo, Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde, revealed that the nationwide town hall series will focus on national stability, public accountability, and citizen welfare.
​The campaign organisation outlined the schedule for the first leg of its zonal town hall engagements: North-West Zone: Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in Katsina, Katsina State.
South-South Zone: Friday, September 25, 2026, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, North-Central Zone: Monday, September 28, 2026, in Lafia, Nasarawa State and South-East Zone: Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in Enugu, Enugu State.
​Dates and venues for the remaining zones are expected to be announced in due course.
​”Our campaign belongs to the people. Our message is to reset Nigeria to a nation that truly works for all,” Ehilebo stated. “We are set to build an administration where leaders are accessible, accountable, and service-driven; where public resources are transparently applied for the good of all, and where citizens’ views are respected.”
​Ehilebo emphasised that the “Reset Nigeria” platform, headed by Governor Seyi Makinde and his running mate, Lawal Daura is rapidly transforming into a broad-based grassroots movement.
He pointed to recent political successes, including the APM’s victory in the Bauchi State House of Assembly by-election, as evidence of growing nationwide support ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential poll.
