The University of Nigeria (UNN) will hold its 55th Convocation Ceremony from Wednesday, July 22, to Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the university’s Nsukka campus.
The four-day ceremony, organised by the university’s Governing Council, Management and Senate, will feature a series of activities, including the 55th Convocation Lecture and the conferment of degrees, diplomas and certificates on graduating students.
The convocation lecture is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the Princess Alexandra Unity Hall and Theatre (PAA) of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
The university will award first degrees, diplomas and certificates to graduating students on Friday, July 24, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ekpo Convocation Hall.
The ceremony will conclude on Saturday, July 25, with the conferment of higher degrees and honorary doctorate degrees at the Ekpo Convocation Hall, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Professor Simon Uchenna Ortunaya, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management and Senate, extended an invitation to guests to attend the 55th Convocation Ceremony.
