The management of Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC), has appealed to its customers to exercise more patience as efforts are on to restore power supply, following a reported collapse of the national grid again.
The Head, Corporate Communications, Dr Friday Adakole Elijah, made this call in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Tuesday (today, November 5) saying they would restore light as soon as possible.
Our correspondent reports that power supply which was enjoyed by some parts of the state went off at about a few minutes to 2pm today.
“The current outage being experienced within our franchise States is a result of loss of power supply from the national grid,” Adakole explained.
“The loss of power supply from the national grid occurred this afternoon at about 1352Hours of today, Tuesday, 5th November 2024, hence the loss of power supply on all our feeders.”
He expressed hope that  normal power supply would be restored to their customers as soon as the grid supply was restored.
He appealed for their patience and understanding as the company strives to serve them better.
