A good number of students of the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, yesterday (Tuesday, November 26) fainted and sustained injuries while struggling to enter a lecture hall and secure seats for a lecture.
Some of the videos sighted by Daily Query showed many of the students struggling to gain entrance into the lecture hall on Tuesday morning, with the result that many female students passed out in the process and had to be rushed out of the hall by their colleagues.
A particular female student was seen lying motionless on the ground and had to be fanned by her colleagues to revive her.
Daily Query reports that the incident, the second under the current LASU administration, took place in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) lecture hall opposite the Faculty of Science.
The students numbering over 500 in the videos struggled to gain entrance and pushed each other leading to some fainting.
Many of the students after gaining entrance into the lecture hall, were seen fanning themselves inside the overcrowded hall.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, did not respond to an inquiry about the incident after some of the video clips were forwarded to her.
The acting image maker of LASU, Mrs. Thomas Onashile, received the videos but refused to comment on the incident.
