Pastor Deji Isaac of Christ Glory Church, Ilorin, has called on all tiers of government to intensify efforts in empowering women across Nigeria, stressing that many are struggling emotionally and financially amid the country’s economic challenges.
Isaac emphasised the urgent need for targeted policies and interventions to support women’s businesses, careers, and personal development.
“Government should focus more on building women by supporting their businesses and careers.
“They need access to business loans and free skills training that will not only improve their personal well-being but also contribute positively to the development of society,” he said.
The cleric noted that many women were frustrated due to a lack of support and called on Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to complement government efforts in addressing the gap.
“Women are nation builders and deserve special attention to thrive.
“NGOs should not leave the task of empowerment to the government alone,” he added.
Isaac reiterated that empowering women was not just a social obligation, but a strategic investment in the future of the country.
