The Women for 35% Initiative under the AJU Morgan Elumelu Foundation (AMEF) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Blessing Elaigwu as the Mobilizer for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Dr. Blessing Elaigwu is the Convener of Peace Ambassadors 4 Beta Nija and a highly respected advocate for good governance, women’s leadership, and peacebuilding. Through her work with the Peace Ambassadors Advocacy Network (PAAN), she has spearheaded initiatives such as the “500 Girls & Women Speak Ambassadors”, empowering women and girls to take their rightful place in leadership and advocacy.
As a skilled grassroots mobilizer and peace advocate, Dr. Elaigwu brings with her a wealth of experience in uniting communities, promoting inclusivity, and advancing the voices of women across Nigeria. Her new role as FCT Mobilizer will see her strengthen grassroots engagement, drive political inclusion for women in Abuja, and expand the reach of Women for 35% at the heart of Nigeria’s political landscape.
With her passion for women’s empowerment, her expertise in leadership, and her proven ability to mobilize at scale, we are confident that Dr. Blessing Elaigwu will be a driving force in ensuring that the 35% inclusion mandate for women in governance is realized in the Federal Capital Territory.
