Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has formally pledged to mobilize at least three million votes to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.
The governor made the pledge on Saturday afternoon, November 7, 2026, while welcoming the President to Port Harcourt for the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-South Presidential Campaign Rally held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
Addressing thousands of party loyalists and supporters, Governor Fubara assured the President that the people of Rivers State remain fully committed to reciprocating his leadership and timely intervention during the state’s political challenges.
”Rivers will give you three million votes. We will stand by you. We will work for you. We will deliver for you. The decision has been made, and we will not turn back,” Governor Fubara declared.
Governor Fubara noted that political divisions within the state have ended, confirming that state leaders across key political factions have aligned behind President Tinubu under the “Rivers Rainbow Coalition”.
The high-profile rally featured key addresses from prominent political figures, including Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, who affirmed the state’s unity behind the President, and APC campaign spokesperson Titilope Gbadamosi.
In an official statement released shortly after the rally via his verified X platform, Governor Fubara reiterated that his administration and the people of Rivers State remain deeply grateful for President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to the peace, stability, and economic development of the state.
He concluded that as the President stood by the state during its most challenging political crossroads, Rivers State is prepared to stand firmly with him in 2027.
