The Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has urged Nigerians to vote massively in the 2027 general elections and to protect their votes after casting them.
The Abubakar gave the advice on Thursday while addressing party supporters at the ADC presidential campaign rally in Birnin Kebbi.
“I urge you to go out and vote for ADC. Mobilise your loved ones and families to cast their votes, protect them and escort them to the unit, ward, local government and state collation centres.
“It is time to protect your votes and your future,” he smadvised.
Abubakar said ADC had what it took to restore peace, bring back the fuel subsidy, reopen the borders and tackle poverty and hunger.
“If you truly want peace for farmers to return to the farms, subsidy to be returned, borders to be opened, and poverty and hunger to be tackled, just vote for ADC in the forthcoming general elections.
“We are committed to employment generation, restoration of peace, and bringing the needed prosperity and unity in our dear country,” he said.
The candidate commended the people of Kebbi for turning out en masse to welcome him in spite of the economic and political challenges in the state.
Earlier, the National Chairman of the party, Sen. David Mark, thanked Kebbi people for joining the train to rescue the country.
“Our presidential candidate and his running mate, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, will lead us to Aso Villa for our country to be rescued and our people to be free from the shackles of hunger and poverty.
“Those who don’t want to join the train, we will leave them behind,” Mark said.
Mark, who handed the party flag to Alhaji Abubakar Malami, SAN, as the ADC’s gubernatorial candidate incandidate Kebbi, described him as a worthy to rescue the state.
