Hon. Olujuwon Obasanjo, son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has formally joined the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement as the Special Adviser on Political Affairs, declaring his full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

The development unfolded on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, during Obasanjo’s official visit to the organization’s national headquarters in Abuja.

Upon arrival, he was received by the National Coordinator of the movement, Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, who conducted a comprehensive tour of the facility and presented the political group’s operational structure and strategic goals. The grassroots organisation operates under the leadership of its Grand Patron, High Chief Government “Tompolo” Ekpemupolo.

Accepting his appointment during the delegation’s meeting, Obasanjo described the role as an honor and a privilege. He commended the group for its community outreach, humanitarian activities, and active promotion of the Federal Government’s policies and programs.

Addressing the political dynamics of his decision, Obasanjo noted that his family maintains a culture that allows members to hold independent political views and pursue political interests without animosity.

Welcoming him to the organization, Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku stated that Obasanjo brings a wealth of political knowledge and governance background to the table. Asuku expressed confidence that Obasanjo’s extensive experience in political mobilisation will significantly strengthen the movement’s nation-wide campaign to secure a second term for President Tinubu in 2027.
