Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have dismantled a sophisticated indoor drug cultivation facility operating inside a residential property in the Apapa area of Lagos State, arresting a Polish citizen alongside his Nigerian accomplice. The intelligence-led raid took place on Monday, November 2, 2026, at approximately 8:15 a.m.
In an official security update issued the following day, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer SP Abimbola Adebisi confirmed the arrest of 49-year-old Polish national Thomas Razvickas and 36-year-old Nigerian citizen James Chisome. Both men were taken into custody directly from the property where they resided and managed the illicit operation.
Upon searching the premises, law enforcement officers uncovered a high-tech indoor cultivation, harvesting, and processing system specifically engineered to grow high-potency cannabis. The specialized setup featured artificial lighting, climate control, and irrigation apparatus designed to maximize crop yield away from public view.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police CP Tijani Fatai personally visited the scene to inspect the equipment, assess the full scale of the operation, and receive a direct briefing from the lead investigators. Following his inspection, CP Fatai commended the raiding team for their swift, intelligence-driven action and reiterated the command’s commitment to systematically identifying and eradicating illegal narcotics syndicates across the state.
Both Razvickas and Chisome remain in police custody. Authorities confirmed that the suspects have provided confessional statements and are offering key information to help investigators track down additional associates connected to the wider network.
