Former President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has publicly apologised to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, her mother Rita Daniels, Delta North Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, and several industry colleagues over comments made during the actress’s marital dispute.

The public apology was released via Rollas’ official Instagram page on Thursday, October 8, 2026, following months of reflection after a tense leadership transition within the guild.

The dispute originated on November 20, 2025, when Emeka Rollas issued a public statement addressing controversies regarding AGN leadership, finances, and elections.

During the high-profile marital tension involving Regina Daniels and Senator Ned Nwoko, Rollas publicly weighed in, claiming the actress “needed help” and criticizing her mother, Rita Daniels, over her campaign in the AGN presidential election.

Additionally, Rollas had addressed a disputed ₦200 million pledge made by Senator Ned Nwoko, who then served as Chairman of the AGN Board of Patrons, during the opening of the AGN Abuja office and the launch of the guild’s Super App.

In his November 2025 statement, Rollas asserted that the sum was directed toward Regina Daniels’ film production rather than directly to the guild’s treasury.

In his updated statement released on October 8, 2026, Rollas acknowledged that while he acted under the strain of leadership disputes at the time, his approach was wrong:

”Leadership is not only about having the courage to speak. It is also about having the humility to acknowledge when we could have spoken differently, waited longer, or chosen a better path,” Rollas stated. “I have reflected; and today, I say sincerely: I am sorry. I am human. I made a mistake.”

Rollas revealed that a recent chance encounter with Rita Daniels, where mutual associates attempted a reconciliation, prompted him to re-evaluate his previous public remarks.
