Natasha Osawaru, the lawmaker representing the Egor constituency and married to Nigerian singer 2Baba, has opened up about her desire to become the country’s president someday.
The Edo State lawmaker spoke at her grandfather Gabriel Igbinedion’s 92nd birthday celebration in Benin City.
A video from the event, which has gone viral, shows Natasha praising her grandfather, calling him her “baby” and saying how much she enjoys being with him.
She also promised to work toward becoming Nigeria’s president while her grandfather is still alive.
“You are amazing, you are like my baby right now, I love you so much. As you age, you become sweeter and better, it is so amazing to be around you grandpa. I promise you that I will be the president of this country before you go,” she said.
Recall that Osawaru recently appointed minority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, a role she said represents not a “title but a trust”.
