Dangote Industries Limited and CNN International Commercial (CNNIC) have officially launched a multi-year global media and brand partnership designed to highlight Africa’s enterprise, industrial expansion, and growing economic influence on the world stage.

The deal, unveiled on August 10, 2026, centers on driving a fresh perspective around African commerce by positioning the continent as an active leader in global markets rather than an emerging participant.

The cornerstone of this collaboration is Dangote’s sponsorship of Africa Inc., a new television feature series hosted by journalist Adefemi Akinsanya.

Following preliminary segments that began airing on August 5, the half-hour broadcast will premiere globally on CNN International on August 29, 2026, with four additional episodes rolling out through 2027 alongside bi-monthly television inserts and digital coverage across CNN.com.

Beyond broadcast programming, the alliance integrates branded content initiatives and physical executive gatherings. CNNIC’s studio, Create, will produce an exclusive series titled Africa First, using short-form documentary films and data-backed editorial pieces to examine the continent’s march toward industrial self-reliance and energy security.

Additionally, Dangote Industries will serve as a prominent sponsor for three international installments of CNN’s elite live executive forum, Global Perspectives, over the coming twelve months.

Commenting on the shared vision behind the project, Cathy Ibal, Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales at CNNIC, stated that the network is pleased to reunite with Dangote to spotlight the resilience, innovation, and self-sufficiency emerging across the continent for a worldwide audience.

Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer at Dangote Industries Limited, emphasized that the collaboration aligns with the group’s Vision 2030 blueprint, utilizing CNN’s reach to demonstrate Africa’s rapid industrialization and present a paradigm shift in how international audiences perceive the continent’s business landscape.
