An open petition has been directed to the United Kingdom Home Office, alleging fraud, deception, and bigamy against a London-based Nigerian man identified as Harrison Emu Chiadika, also known by aliases including “Bornagain iPhone Papi” and “Innocent Obele-Virgin Nwajesus.”
The complaint written by an activist identified as Junia (called La Juni on Facebook), details a troubled marriage between Harrison Emu Chiadika and the late Amarachi Onyeocha Whyte, whom he married in a court ceremony on June 4, 2022.
According to the petition, the couple relocated to the United Kingdom on September 28, 2022, after Whyte secured admission to Anglia Ruskin University. Chiadika reportedly travelled as her dependent.
However, the union allegedly began to deteriorate shortly after they arrived in London. The petition claims that barely a month into their stay, on November 6, 2022—coinciding with Whyte’s birthday—Chiadika handed her a handwritten note stating he was no longer interested in continuing the marriage.
The complaint further alleges that the couple had jointly planned to repay loans incurred prior to their relocation, but Chiadika failed to fulfil his financial obligations, leaving Whyte to shoulder the burden alone.
In December 2023, Chiadika reportedly secured a Skilled Worker Certificate of Sponsorship, which granted him a five-year visa. The petitioner claims he refused to include Whyte in the application.
More serious allegations emerged regarding the dissolution of their marriage. The petition states that on January 24, 2024, Chiadika obtained a divorce in Nigeria without Whyte’s knowledge or consent. It is alleged that neither he nor his legal representatives notified her of the proceedings.
The document reportedly indicated that divorce proceedings had commenced in June 2023, exactly one year after their marriage.
The petitioner further claims that Chiadika retrieved the marriage document from Whyte under the pretext of awaiting additional paperwork, raising suspicions that the process may have been fraudulent.
In a more alarming development, the petition alleges that Chiadika contracted multiple marriages with different women within a short period.
It claims that three separate marriage certificates bearing his name were registered on December 8, 2023, in Benin City and Usulu, Edo State, and on January 6, 2024, in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The marriage between Harrison Emu Chiadika and Whyte was said to have been officially dissolved on September 4, 2025.
Describing the situation as both “bigamy and fraud,” the petitioner urged the UK authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, offering to provide supporting evidence if required.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the UK Home Office, and the accused has not publicly addressed the allegations.
The claims remain allegations, and authorities are expected to determine their validity following due process.
