Let us take a cruise into the system that stares us. The Nigerian system appears an illusion promax or better still, an abnormality over-overdrive. I figure alot of abnormalities now accepted as norms.
The terrorists groups captures military personnels and brutally kill them.
The Nigerian army will capture terrorists, alledgely disarm, deradicalise, pay them and integrate same into the army to infiltrate same system. How normal is that?
Democracy thrives on checks and balances within the framework of multiple political system to create standards, options and alternatives. The system has mowed down almost all political parties. How normal can that be?
Politicians are clamoring for party conventions when there may be no elections after party primaries. Its a one party system. Is that normal! Today, the politicians that institutionalized anti party activities Pre and Post 2023 have taken party disloyalty to its lowest ebb. They are brutalizing institutional democracy, fighting themselves like Karma came too early. How normal?
An army General was captured and killed by terrorists yet the Nigerian military 48hrs after are issuing statements of a denial. Normal?
The fact is all facets of Government institutions are complicit.
Nigerians are emershed in the fallacy of normalizing abnormalities. Nothing matters anymore. Have some good money, abominations have become norms.
Nothing borders anyone because our fears are normal. Our values and professionalism completly eroded heralding nepotism and religious bigotry.
From local, states and Federal Government space, what matters is senatorial and state capture. Unfortunately Nigerian professors, elites and community leaders facilitate this process. It is now a norm.
By the time political parties will post their convention timetables, you will observe how state governors, regional and local champions will take the front seats in coordinating their yes men. That’s is the situation across the nation with few exceptions.
The solution some Nigerians can see or envisage is a revolution but nepotism and tribalism is holding forth at the moment. Did you hear Pastor Enoch Adeboye saying that he only protested twice all his life! One as a student and during Jonathan’s time. He said for now, CAN and PFN will speak not him. His voice is drowned by tribalism.
