Cristiano Ronaldo has officially signed a two-year contract extension with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, keeping him at the club until 2027, past his 42nd birthday, making it one of the most lucrative deals in sports history. The deal reportedly offers an annual salary of £178 million (about $245 million), equivalent to roughly £488,000 a day, with a signing bonus set at £24.5 million in the first year and rising to £38 million in the second.

In addition to his staggering wage, Ronaldo will receive a 15% stake in the club valued at approximately £33 million, and enjoy major performance bonuses, including £4 million for winning the Golden Boot and £8 million for a league title. The contract also covers extensive off-field perks such as a private-jet allowance, a 16-person personal support team, and sponsorship incentives that could bring his package closer to nearly £500 million over two years.

The announcement, made today by Al Nassr via social media, follows recent speculation that Ronaldo might return to Europe or join another league. Ronaldo himself posted, “A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together,” signalling his commitment to the Saudi Pro League and its global ambitions.
