Pope Leo XIV has issued an urgent call to Christians worldwide to turn to prayer as conflicts in the Middle East, Ukraine, and Crimea deepen. Warning that the wars “will become very serious and will spread,” the Pope asked priests to open churches immediately and invite the faithful to pray the Holy Rosary before the Eucharist. He urged Christians to “pray, pray, pray, united in prayer every day,” and to ask God to send the Holy Spirit to enlighten world leaders with the knowledge of good and evil.

The Pope also shared a specific prayer invoking the Holy Trinity, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and Saint Michael the Archangel to destroy Satan and nullify and paralyze the plots of those who manipulate the whole world. Believers are asked to begin with three recitations of the Lord’s Prayer and Hail Mary and to spread the message urgently. “We must trust in God and remember that prayer has power,” he said.
