There would be no MTN Nigeria without you – Karl Toriola

One of the strongest statements a business can make is not simply what it says, but how consistently it chooses to invest where it matters most. That belief continues to guide us at MTN Nigeria. Today, we announced our H1 2026 financial results. While the numbers reflect a strong first half, they tell a much bigger story, one of sustained investment in the infrastructure powering Nigeria’s digital economy.

Nigeria is becoming increasingly digital. More people are coming online, consuming more data and embracing digital services. With that comes a greater responsibility to build resilient digital infrastructure.

That is why, in the first half of the year alone, we invested more than ₦620 billion in expanding network capacity, strengthening coverage and accelerating home broadband. These investments are about more than technology.

They are about connecting communities, enabling businesses, supporting innovation and creating opportunities across Nigeria.

Our performance has also enabled us to recommend an interim dividend of ₦26 per share, creating value for the hundreds of thousands of Nigerians who own MTN Nigeria directly, and the millions more who participate through pension and institutional investments. To our shareholders, thank you for your confidence. It inspires ours.

Looking ahead, we will continue investing to improve customer experience, strengthen the reliability and quality of our network, and earn the trust of our customers and stakeholders through greater transparency, deeper engagement and consistently delivering on our promises.

Our appreciation goes to the government, our regulators and our industry partners for their continued collaboration in building Nigeria’s digital future.

Most importantly, thank you to every customer who chooses MTN. There would be no MTN Nigeria without you, and we never take your trust for granted.”
