The Wife of Kogi State Governor, Mrs. Sefinat Ododo has called on Christians to reflect on the profound love, sacrifice and humility demonstrated by Jesus Christ on the cross for the redemption of humanity.
In her Easter message issued on Sunday in Lokoja, the governor’s wife said Easter was a time to remember the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for the world.
“His death and resurrection remind us of the power of love, the beauty of humility, and the strength in unity”.
“As we celebrate Easter, I urge all Christians in Kogi to let the spirit of Christ guide their actions, foster peace in their communities, and extend kindness to one another,” she said.
Mrs Ododo also urged women and children in the state to draw inspiration from the humility of Jesus, to promote unity and compassion within their homes and communities.
“As nurturers, builders of our homes and society, women and children play a vital role in shaping a peaceful future. Let us emulate Christ’s humility by choosing empathy over division and unity over conflict,” she added.
The wife of the governor reiterated her commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, inclusion, and the well-being of women and children across the state.
“Easter is not just a season of celebration, but a time of deep reflection and renewal. Let us walk in love, live in unity, and serve one another in humility,” Mrs Ododo admonished.
