Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), has declared that President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election if the poll is conducted in a free, fair, and credible manner.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Baba-Ahmed argued that the socioeconomic conditions in the country have deteriorated under the current administration, citing widespread economic hardship, high inflation, and rising poverty levels across the nation.
He also described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a “monster eating itself up,” asserting that despite controlling both houses of the National Assembly and holding a majority of state governorships, the ruling party remains unsettled due to public dissatisfaction with governance outcomes.
Baba-Ahmed emphasized that political metrics and economic statistics presented by official channels do not align with the everyday realities of ordinary Nigerians, predicting that voters will use the ballot box to demand accountability in 2027.
