Abia State Governor Alex Otti has reiterated his commitment to deepening collaboration with neighboring states, including Enugu under Governor Peter Mbah, and security agencies to strengthen peace in the Southeast region. Speaking during a forum in Umuahia, Otti stressed that enhancing regional security requires continuous cooperation across state lines and with federal forces, praising the existing partnerships as pivotal for a safer environment.
He emphasized that security remains a top governance priority, urging a unified approach to tackling youth restiveness, poverty and unemployment, factors that often fuel crime. Otti affirmed that such collective action complements national efforts and will be sustained under his administration in collaboration with Enugu and other Southeast governors.
