Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, representing Osun Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has officially resigned his membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a formal letter addressed to the APC ward chairman in Ila-Orangun and made public on Friday in Osogbo, the lawmaker cited internal party realignment and a commitment to aligning with his constituents’ political aspirations as the core reasons for his decision.

”After extensive consultations with my family, political associates, and the good people of Osun Central Senatorial District, I have decided to tender my resignation from the APC and return home to the PDP,” Fadeyi stated in his announcement.

The declaration was made at a gathering of supporters and party chieftains at the PDP State Secretariat along the Osogbo-Ikirun road. Osun State PDP leadership, alongside key political stakeholders, welcomed Senator Fadeyi back into the party fold, describing his return as a major boost to party unity in the state.

The move shifts the political dynamics of Osun State’s representation in the 10th Senate, consolidating the PDP’s presence across the state’s senatorial districts.

Party leaders from both political camps have begun adjusting their strategies in Osun Central ahead of upcoming legislative activities and political consultations in the state.
