Ahead of the impending Digital Switch-Over (DSO) rollout, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) is set to convene a high-level stakeholders’ meeting. The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, 16 June.
It will bring together key players in Nigeria’s broadcasting ecosystem and the sector’s regulator to deliberate on critical issues surrounding the DSO initiative. Invitations were signed by Clementine Usman-Wamba, Head of the DSO Office, on behalf of the Director-General of the NBC, Dr Charles Ebuebu.
According to the Commission, “the meeting is designed to foster open dialogue, address outstanding concerns, and align strategies among all stakeholders toward the successful implementation of the DSO project.”
The Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, will address participants. Following this, the NBC team, led by Director-General Dr. Charles Ebuebu, will unveil all parameters of the rollout.
A Stakeholder Feedback Session will be co-chaired by Minister Idris and the Chairman of the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria, High Chief Tony Akiotu.
The meeting will take place at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, located at Plot 903, Tafawa Balewa Way, Area 11, Garki, Abuja.
