The Osun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OSUCCIMA) has charged business owners and corporate operators across the state to actively capitalize on government-sponsored economic incentives, targeted support programmes, and developmental policies rather than engaging in continuous public complaints.

The call was delivered during a strategic stakeholders’ engagement and press briefing convened at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the SOB Event Centre in Osogbo, Osun State.

Speaking on behalf of the organized private sector, the President of OSUCCIMA, Dr. Olu Olujide, stated that while macro-economic headwinds present real operational hurdles to micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs), focusing solely on policy complaints will not generate business growth.

He emphasized that sustainable expansion requires entrepreneurs to take a proactive approach by positioning their businesses to benefit from existing support frameworks established by both state authorities and national development finance institutions.

Expanding on the available growth channels during the briefing, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Vice-President of OSUCCIMA, outlined a broad range of operational windows designed to enhance enterprise sustainability.

These interventions include single-digit interest micro-credit facilities disbursed through the Osun Microcredit Agency, specialized funding windows from the Bank of Industry (BOI) and Bank of Agriculture (BOA), and targeted agricultural input subsidies delivered via the Osun State Agricultural Development Programme (OSSADEP).

He further highlighted registration relief packages for local trade fairs aimed at exposing state-made products to wider regional markets, as well as streamlined startup onboarding and digital business premises registration schemes managed by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment.

Concluding the address, executive officers urged market associations, informal trade groups, and young innovators to visit the Ministry of Commerce headquarters in Osogbo or connect with regional chamber offices across Ilesa, Ile-Ife, and Osogbo.

The leadership reassured stakeholders that OSUCCIMA will maintain a continuous advisory link with the Osun State Government to ensure public policies remain aligned with private sector expansion.
