A Central Planning Committee (CPC) has been inaugurated to direct and oversee preparations for the formal launch of the Solomon and Mary Lar Institute for Leadership, scheduled to take place on October 27, 2026, in Abuja.
The committee was officially inaugurated in Abuja by the institute’s founder, Hon. Beni Lar, who charged the newly appointed members to execute their mandate with diligence, commitment, and a high level of responsibility.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, Hon. Beni Lar stated that the institute was established to preserve, perpetuate, and build upon the enduring political and humanitarian legacies of her parents, Chief Solomon Lar, former Governor of Plateau State and the pioneer National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Ambassador Mary Lar. She highlighted that the institute aims to nurture visionary leaders, promote democratic values, and foster inclusive governance across the nation.
Accepting the responsibility on behalf of the committee, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee assured the leadership that members would deploy their collective experience and expertise to organize a successful launch event that reflects the legacy of Chief Solomon and Mary Lar.
