Gov Soludo emerge APGA candidate ahead of Nov. guber  election

Governor, Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance( APGA ) ahead of November 8, Gubernatorial election.

This followed a unanimous voice vote from the three thousand, one hundred and sixty eight delegates drawn from the three hundred and twenty six wards in the state.

Out of a total of three thousand, one hundred and seventy five delegates who were accredited, three thousand, one hundred and seventy two votes were cast, with three thousand, one hundred sixty eight yes votes and four invalid votes.

A voice vote by delegates from the twenty one local government areas also went further to confirm the results of the balloting.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Soludo expressed gratitude to God Almighty, the leadership of his party, and the people of the state for their unprecedented support, which he described as the bedrock of his achievements over the past three years.

Governor Soludo also appreciated the officials of the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, saying that the Governorship Primary election was conducted in a transparent manner and in compliance with the 1999 Constitution and the Electoral Act, 2022 in conjunction with INEC Guidelines and Regulations for Political Party Primaries.

The Governor vowed that the revolution across all sectors will continue to gain momentum, built on the foundation of the five cardinal pillars of development.

Prof. Soludo further reaffirmed the renomination of Doctor Onyekachukwu Ibezim as his running mate.

In an interview, a delegate from Awka South Local Government Area Mr Chuka Nwannah expressed admiration for the leadership qualities of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and the giant strides he had recorded in all the sectors of the economy.

Radio Nigeria  Correspondent reports that highlight of the event was the Issuance of the nomination certificate to the Governor by the Party Primary Election Electoral Committee .
