PROMINENT Kano businessman, elder and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, is dead.
He died at the age of 94 in Abu Dhabi.
His death was confirmed on Saturday via a Facebook post by his Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid.
“It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of our beloved father, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata.
Dantata, a former Commissioner for Economic Planning in Kano State, was a great-grand uncle of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.
