The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) have commenced the 2025 promotion examination for more than 13,000 civil servants across 150 cadres and grade levels.
The Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, disclosed this in Abuja on Wednesday, saying the exercise was approved by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Ezeh said the Computer-Based Test (CBT), which began on Wednesday, would run for 10 days as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu. He added that the minister had directed the commission to conduct the 2026 promotion exercise before the end of the year to ensure all eligible officers had the opportunity to progress in the service.
He said Wike also directed the commission to collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure a seamless exercise and avoid challenges experienced during the previous promotion examination. Ezeh assured candidates that adequate arrangements had been made for a hitch-free process and urged them to remain patient throughout the exercise.
