A faith-based Organisation, the Neighborhood Care Well Foundation has empowered about 30, 000 children and at least 7,000 families in Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states within the last 25 years, the group’s executive director, Dr. Victoria Emah-Emah, has disclosed.
Speaking at an event to mark the 25th anniversary of the foundation, with the theme Celebrating 25th Anniversary of helping people and changing lives, Dr. Emah-Emah enthused: “I’m very excited to present to you 25 years of our passion and work.
“Over the last 25 years, over 30,000 children have benefitted from our educational, health, shelter and vocational skills programmes.
“We have supported over 5,000 households with mini grants, income training and about 7,000 families have benefitted from our work in the last 25 years.
“We will remain unrelenting and keep standing for the rights of women, children and youths in vulnerable communities.”
She thanked partners who have provided capacity training and resources to actualize the programmes of the foundation, assuring that that the foundation, which is also women-based and not-for-profit, is determined to improve the lives of women and girls by 50% through social justice and strategic leadership.
