The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has commended the courage and commitment of Air force personnel combating insurgency in the North-east region.
In a statement by the Director, Public Relations and Information of the NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame says the Chief of Air Staff made the commendation during a morale-boosting visit to the Air component of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar emphasized that their bravery and resilience in the face of adversity have not gone unnoticed, stressing that their sacrifices are etched in the history of the nation, and in the hearts of millions of Nigerians who sleep safer because of their vigilance.
During the visit Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar was briefed on recent operational gains by Commanders, showcasing the strategic value of precision airstrikes and close air support.
Responding, the Air Chief pledged continued investment in technology to empower frontline units.
According to the statement, the Air Chief’s visit, marked by personal interactions with troops, underscored his deep appreciation for their dedication, and the vital role airpower plays in neutralising threats and protecting communities.
