A set of new household employees is suspected to have last night (Tuesday, July 30) murdered the madam of the house (names withheld), a daughter-in-law of a prominent family in Bayelsa State.
Daily Query gathered that her body was found outside the gate of their house this morning in what the family suspects is a decoy to make the incident look like it happened when she was outside and hacked to death by her assailants who pursued and caught up with her at her gate.
But, family sources told Daily Query that “signs of an attempt to clean up blood inside the house and in the compound tell a different story.”
In a distraught message to a senior Daily Query Editor, a brother to the late woman’s husband, while agonizing over her dastardly killing, noted that if it turned out that the woman was, indeed, killed by her household staff, “it’s salient to observe that they were newly employed …less than a month and she was alone in the house with them.”
“We all need to be super careful, especially with new hires,” the distraught brother-in-law of the deceased warned. “Chuchu, a doctor, was a lovely daughter and this a great tragedy for the family after the recent very happy wedding celebrations of her only brother. May her soul rest in peace and the good Lord comfort her (parents) at this time and help them cope with this tragedy.”
Daily Query learnt that the incident has since been reported to the police for a thorough discreet investigation.
The incident is coming a few years after a Togoles cook, Sunday Anani, a domestic employee of businessman and chairman of Credit Swift ltd, Chief Ope Bademosi, told the police how he killed his boss at their No.3B, Onikoyi Lane, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, home on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.
