Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Iree, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State, have officially dissociated the community from the recent endorsement of Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term by the Aree of Iree, Oba Muritala Oyelakin.

The APC stakeholders clarified that the monarch’s pronouncement reflects his personal opinion and does not represent the political stance or collective will of the Iree community.

The leaders emphasized that while they respect the traditional stool, political endorsements should not be generalized to represent an entire community with diverse political leanings.

The APC leaders reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the progress and mandates of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State.

The stakeholders urged traditional institutions to remain neutral and serve as fathers to all political factions rather than openly aligning with a specific party.

”The endorsement of Governor Adeleke by Oba Muritala Oyelakin is a personal gesture and does not carry the mandate of the good people of Iree, who remain strongly aligned with the ideals of the APC,” the leaders stated.

The development adds a new layer to the political dynamics in Boripe Local Government Area as parties gear up for future electoral contests in the state.
