The Global and National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, alongside the Media Personnel, Spokesperson South East (Anambra Chapter), and the Lead Colligent Coordination of Anambra State, met today with press representatives from Arise TV and other media houses at the state campaign office of Chief Dr. George Moghalu, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party.

‎Dr. Yunusa Tanko briefed the press conference about the outing they had yesterday in Awkuzu, Nnewi, and Awka, the three constituencies representing Anambra North, Anambra South, and Anambra Central, where Obidient coordinators were inaugurated across these three constituencies, totaling 5,000 coordinators of various polling units in Anambra State.

‎Amb. Justin Kingland, the Spokesperson for the Obidient Movement South East, (Anambra Chapter), used the opportunity to bring to the notice of the entire Obidient Movement worldwide, especially in Anambra State, an allegation that some miscreants had endorsed the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, in the name of the Obidient Movement.

‎Amb. Justin Kingland debunked the alleged endorsement, maintaining that such endorsement never existed. He described it as a cooked-up story, emphasizing that the Obidient family was not aware their name had been used for such an act.

‎Amb. Justin also noted that the Obidient Movement has only one candidate, Dr. George Moghalu, whom the apex leader, His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, also supports.

‎Recall that on the 14th of October, Amb. Justin Kingland accompanied His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi to campaign for Dr. Moghalu at Achalla, Okpuno, Amawbia and Nibo in Awka North and South LGA of Anambra State. His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi also flagged off the campaign rally for Dr. Moghalu at Onitsha.

‎Mr. Peter Obi, who is also preparing for the 2027 presidential election, has made it clear that although he is in coalition talks, he remains a strong member of the Labour Party. He further stated that he will make everything public after the November 8 election, when he will fully participate in the coalition discussions.

‎Amb. Justin emphasized that those endorsing the incumbent Governor of Anambra State in the name of the Obidient Movement are doing so for personal or transactional reasons to entice the governor. The Obidient Movement is not aware of, nor associated with, any such endorsement.

‎He reaffirmed that the Obidient Movement is fully in support of the candidate whose hand was raised by His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi in Onitsha, Dr. George Moghalu. He urged all “transactional and stomach-infrastructure politicians” disguising under the Obidient Movement to desist from such acts.

‎When asked what plans had been put in place for Dr. George Moghalu, Amb. Kingland, who recently returned from Jakarta, explained that he has been touring and working closely and tirelessly with His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi. He has anchored critical meetings with stakeholders in Agulu, Anaocha Local Government, where Mr. Peter Obi personally interacted with them.

‎Recently, Amb. Justin Kingland organized a meeting at his residence for 210 members of the Possibilitarians Movement, individuals who believe in possibilities and are strongly supporting the movement of His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi. Today, he again hosted Dr. George Moghalu and the Possibilitarians at his residence for further interaction.

‎These are some of the remarkable moves Amb. Kingland has taken within less than two weeks of his return from Jakarta, with many more plans underway.

‎He also implored all the 327 polling units in Anambra State to stand firm in support of Dr. George Moghalu, stressing that Anambra will be great again under George Moghalu.
