The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has officially unveiled its new Jigawa State secretariat in Dutse and established operational structures across all 287 political wards in the state’s 27 Local Government Areas to mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
The unveiling took place on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 12:23 PM WAT in Dutse, where party leaders and political strategists gathered to mark the expansion of the group’s campaign machinery across northern Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Director-General (North) of the TSG, Hon. (Engr.) Magaji Da’u Aliyu, explained that the initiative aims to build a robust framework for coordinating supporters ahead of the upcoming presidential polls.
Aliyu, a former two-term federal lawmaker who represented the Birnin Kudu/Buji Federal Constituency and chaired the House Committee on Power in the Ninth Assembly, noted that the group has thoroughly restructured its leadership at both the state and senatorial district levels.
This overhaul is intended to streamline operations, facilitate seamless communication, and ensure real-time feedback is provided to regional and national headquarters regarding grassroots campaign activities and logistical developments.
Urging members to kickstart intensive door-to-door engagements across every political ward, Aliyu emphasized that northern Nigeria remains fully committed to supporting President Tinubu’s second term.
He characterized Tinubu’s presidency as the fulfillment of a crucial political understanding between the North and the South-West, pointing to the high turnout of supporters at a recent All Progressives Congress (APC) regional gathering in Kaduna as clear evidence of the region’s unified stance.
Aliyu concluded by reassuring party faithful that the Northwest geopolitical zone will remain steadfast in delivering strong electoral backing to return President Tinubu to Aso Rock in 2027.
