The re-election campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Osun State received a significant boost over the weekend as Governor Ademola Adeleke and his predecessor, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, pledged to set aside political rivalries to secure victory for the President in the 2027 election.

The cross-party alignment was solidified on Saturday, October 31, 2026, during a campaign mobilization event and vehicle unveiling ceremony held in Osogbo, Osun State.

Despite their historic political differences, Governor Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Minister Oyetola, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), signaled a willingness to align their grassroots structures behind the President’s re-election bid.

Speaking at the event, key campaign leaders outlined an ambitious strategy to deliver between 1.5 million and 2 million votes for President Tinubu in the state.

To power the grassroots advocacy drive across Osun State, 30 operational campaign vehicles equipped with public address systems, sound amplifiers, and power generators, donated by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, were officially unveiled.

Addressing the gathering, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, along with campaign representative Hon. Thomas Pondi, emphasized that the campaign machinery was being rolled out alongside key logistical resources to make grassroots voter mobilization seamless.

In a related statement, Minister Adegboyega Oyetola underscored that the presidential campaign transcends traditional political boundaries, urging all coalition partners to overlook past relationship antagonisms and join hands to secure a decisive victory.

Meanwhile, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, represented alongside state leaders, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to supporting South-West leadership and aligning local governance efforts with federal development initiatives.

The joint initiative follows Governor Adeleke’s setup of a multi-party campaign coalition structure in the state. While both leaders maintain distinct political loyalties at the state level, their shared commitment to President Tinubu’s campaign is expected to unify key voting blocs across Osun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
