The executive approval spans multiple officer cadres across the nation’s security apparatus. Alongside the top-tier promotions of DIGs, AIGs, and CPs, the Commission elevated 245 Superintendents of Police (SPs) to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
Among those newly promoted to CSP are Federal Capital Territory Police Public Relations Officer Josephine Adeh, Adamawa Command spokesperson Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, and Abah James of the Rivers State Command. Furthermore, 498 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were advanced to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP), including Isa Osu of the Border Patrol Force Headquarters in Abuja, Samaila Amadu Bangajiya of the 12 PMF Squadron in Minna, and Akadu Godwin of the Tactical Intelligence Unit.

Addressing the newly decorated personnel, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), congratulated the officers and urged them to view their elevations as a call to heightened national service, dedication, and professional accountability.
He emphasized that the Commission remains steadfast in rewarding merit, integrity, and hard work, reminding the officers that their new ranks carry greater responsibility in safeguarding lives, enforcing law and order, and reinforcing internal security across the country.
