The Northern Youth Frontiers (NYF) on Sunday, October 25, 2026, described the massive turnout of citizens and party loyalists at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign flag-off as undeniable proof of Northern Nigeria’s unalloyed confidence in his leadership.
Reaffirming its full endorsement of the President’s re-election bid for 2027, the youth coalition declared that the North remains solidly aligned with the administration’s economic reforms, national unity initiatives, and infrastructure drive.
The official kick-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 presidential campaign took place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Ranchers Bees Stadium (also known as the Kaduna Township Stadium) in Kaduna State.
The event drew thousands of supporters, party leaders, and socio-political groups across the North-West zone and beyond. Ahead of the mega rally, President Tinubu also commissioned an 81-kilometer section of the Abuja–Kaduna highway (Lot 1 of the dual carriageway), underscoring his administration’s developmental commitments to the region.
Speaking on behalf of the group in a formal press statement released on Sunday, October 25, NYF spokesperson Comrade Ibrahim Turaki stated that the overwhelming reception accorded to the President in Kaduna reflected the grassroots sentiments across Northern states.
”As the political atmosphere gathers momentum, the Northern Youth Frontiers strongly calls on all opposition parties and political actors to desist from any actions, utterances, or campaigns of calumny capable of overheating the polity.
Elections should be a contest of ideas, developmental plans, and track records, not an avenue to sow seeds of discord, ethnicity, or religious division.” said Comrade Ibrahim Turaki, Spokesperson, Northern Youth Frontiers
Turaki added that the group’s endorsement is rooted in equity, track record, and long-term national stability:

The Northern Youth Frontiers urged political leaders across party lines to prioritise issue-based engagements as the 2027 general election season approaches.
The group emphasized that the youth of Northern Nigeria are determined to safeguard national stability and support policies aimed at poverty eradication, infrastructure development, and job creation.
