Japan Tobacco International (JTI) Nigeria has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to Nigeria’s economic growth, pledging to sustain responsible business practices, uphold high regulatory compliance, and drive workforce development as the country celebrates its 66th Independence Anniversary.
The announcement was delivered by Abdallah Simba, General Manager of JTI Nigeria, during an executive address on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM WAT at the company’s corporate headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Reflecting on JTI’s 18-year operational footprint in the country, Simba emphasized that Nigeria remains a critical market for the international group, which is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
