Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing economic policies, declaring that subnational governments across Nigeria are proud of the tangible impact these reforms are having on grassroots development.

Governor Mohammed made the remarks on Monday, October 5, 2026, during an official press briefing held in the Council Chamber of the Government House, Bauchi.

Addressing members of the press, the Governor, who also serves as the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, emphasised that beyond political affiliations, state administrations are experiencing significant fiscal enhancements directly tied to the administration’s macro-economic adjustments.

”Subnational governments are proud of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms,” Governor Mohammed stated. “The bold decision to restructure revenue channels and liberalize key economic sectors has provided states with increased allocations, directly enabling us to fund critical infrastructure, healthcare, education, and rural development projects that directly touch the lives of everyday citizens at the grassroots.”

Reinforcing the Governor’s statement, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Bauchi State Governor, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, issued a formal release detailing the specific areas where the state has leveraged the enhanced federal allocations.

According to Gidado, the expanded fiscal space has allowed the Bauchi State Government to complete several long-standing road projects, boost agricultural intervention schemes for rural farmers, and strengthen community health centers across the state’s 20 local government areas.

”The Governor’s position reflects a pragmatic approach to governance,” Gidado stated in the official release issued shortly after the morning briefing.

When policies yield measurable growth and direct benefits for our local communities, it is only right to acknowledge the strategic leadership behind them. Bauchi State remains committed to collaborating with the Federal Government to deliver maximum democratic dividends to our people.”

The statement comes amidst broader national dialogues regarding fiscal federalism and the sustained economic trajectory under President Tinubu’s administration, highlighting growing alignment between federal initiatives and state-level developmental execution.
