Targeting 2027: APC Lagos West Chieftains rally grassroots mobilisation, internal cohesion at Ikeja summit

Party leaders and key political stakeholders across the Lagos West Senatorial District converged on Ikeja on Thursday, August 27, 2026, for a strategic unity summit aimed at fortifying internal cohesion, smoothing over local friction, and ramping up grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.

​Jointly organized by Ikeja Local Government alongside Onigbongbo and Ojodu Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), the high-level meeting opened at 10:00 AM inside the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat Hall on Community Road.

​The gathering served as an operational alignment for council chairmen, ward coordinators, and party stalwarts from all municipalities within the district.

Discussions centered on establishing local reconciliation mechanisms, strengthening ward-level structures, and organizing direct voter outreach to secure full political alignment for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the entire All Progressives Congress (APC) platform in the upcoming electoral cycle.

Senator (Dr.) Idiat Oluranti Adebule (Senator, Lagos West) Highlighted the critical role of grassroots solidarity in sustaining the party’s political dominance. ​

She stated” This impressive gathering is a clear demonstration of the strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment of the APC in Lagos West. I urge all members to sustain this spirit of oneness, remain loyal, and work collectively toward the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in 2027.”

Prince Rabiu Adio Oluwa (Apex Leader, Lagos West APC & GAC Member) Stressed the necessity of active internal diplomacy and discipline:- ​”While our party has made remarkable strides, we must acknowledge areas where our internal structures require strengthening. True strength lies in reconciliation, consultation, and discipline at the ward levels.”

Proceedings concluded with a unanimous resolution to establish local reconciliation sub-committees and immediately initiate ward-level canvasser drives throughout the senatorial district.
