The Kano State Hospitals Management Board has announced the full restoration of dialysis services at the Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital following repair of a faulty equipment.
This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Samira Suleiman, on Tuesday in Kano.
The statement said that the temporary disruption was caused by a fault in the reverse osmosis water treatment system, which had now been fixed.
In a related development, the statement disclosed that Gov. Abba Kabir-Yusuf of Kano State had approved the procurement of four brand-new dialysis machines for the Abubakar Imam Urology Centre to expand specialised renal care.
It quoted the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Mansur Mudi-Nagoda, as commending the governor for his commitment to upgrading medical infrastructure and boosting healthcare delivery across public facilities.
The statement noted that Mudi-Nagoda said that the Urology Centre was expected to resume full operations in the coming weeks following the installation of the newly approved equipment.
