Nigerian troops have neutralised nine terrorists in a precision air strike in Borno State and arrested six suspected kidnappers and terrorist collaborators in Plateau State.

The development was disclosed by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Lt.-Gen. Sani Uba, who said the operations were conducted by troops of Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Hakorin Damisa II.

In Borno, troops conducted an air strike on a terrorist gathering in the Timbuktu Triangle, where nine terrorists were reportedly neutralised. The operation also targeted terrorist logistics and hideouts in the area.

In Plateau, troops arrested six suspected kidnappers and terrorist collaborators during operations in Mangu and Riyom Local Government Areas. The suspects were reportedly linked to criminal activities affecting communities in the state.

Uba said the military remained committed to disrupting terrorist and criminal networks across the country. He assured Nigerians that ongoing operations would continue to target armed groups, their logistics networks and collaborators in efforts to improve security nationwide.
