The family of Temitope Osoba has dismissed reports circulating on social media and some online platforms concerning the circumstances surrounding her death, describing them as false, speculative and unauthorised.
In a statement posted on her Instagram page, the family expressed sadness over what it described as the spread of unverified information at a difficult time for her loved ones.
The family urged members of the public to disregard the reports and refrain from sharing or promoting information that could deepen their grief. It stressed that no official information had been released regarding the circumstances of her death.
It appealed for privacy and understanding, saying the family needed time to mourn without the added burden of rumours and sensational reports.
The family assured the public and media that any information it chooses to release would be communicated through official channels and authorised representatives. It also thanked members of the public for their prayers, love and support, while appealing for respect for Temitope Osoba’s memory and the family’s privacy.
