Former Cross River State Governor and presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Donald Duke, has warned that Nigeria risks sinking into a deeper national crisis within the next four years unless its present political and economic trajectory is urgently reversed.

Duke delivered the warning during an exclusive live broadcast on ARISE NEWS on Wednesday morning, transmitted from the network’s studio in Abuja. Addressing the state of the nation, the former governor stated that the escalating socio-economic hardship and political instability in the country forced him to re-enter frontline politics.

Duke emphasized that governance under the current administration requires an immediate overhaul, warning that inaction over the next four years could push the nation past a point of recovery.

Explaining his decision to run under the PRP flag, Duke stated that remaining a spectator while the country deteriorated was no longer an option for responsible patriots.

He urged political leaders to move away from self-serving politics and prioritize structural economic reforms that directly alleviate poverty and create opportunities for ordinary citizens.

”Remaining a spectator is no longer an option when the foundations of our nation are under severe threat. We must reverse this course before it becomes too late for the next generation.” Donald Duke remarked.
