The Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement (GHSM) has formally rejected the reported endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election by select Accord Party officials at the Osun State Government House in Osogbo, describing the gathering as unconstitutional, null, and politically irrelevant.
​In a statement released on Monday, July 27, 2026, the political group, which supports the presidential ambition of Accord Party candidate Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, criticized the Osun State executive members involved, including state chairman Pastor Victor Akande, for bypassing established party architecture to stage what it termed a “purported endorsement.”
The GHSM asserted that state-level executives and government house meetings lack the legal authority under the Accord Party constitution to adopt or endorse a presidential candidate from a rival political party.
The group cautioned Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and local party stakeholders against actions that fan internal division, emphasizing that national electoral decisions lie strictly within the domain of the party’s national convention and NEC.
The movement maintained that Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim remains a viable candidate for the 2027 presidency and that consultations with other opposition factions are actively ongoing, rendering any localized endorsement of the ruling party ineffective.
