Priests/Prophets of the Jewish Shabbath Observers under the aegis of the Unique Forum of Orthodox Judaism, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Speaking at the home of the Kanus’ at Afaraukwu, Umuahia, Abia State, leader of the group, Rosh Nasishemtov Ihe Maduweiheyah said they went as directed by God to pray for the Kanu family.

Rosh Maduweiheyah said the release of Kanu from detention has become imperative to save the country from some her problems, including insurgency, kidnapping and other vices bedeviling the nation, particularly in the South East.

“Nnamdi Kanu’s detention has been the cause of many problems such as insurgency and kidnapping in the country in general and South East in particular,” he said.

The Jewish priests who came all the way from Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, said they are planning to travel to Abuja soon where Kanu is being detained for similar prayer session to hasten his release.

“We will be traveling to Abuja soon to hold a similar prayer session, which we believe will quicken Nnamdi Kanu’s release from detention,” Rosh Maduweiheyah stressed.

One of the leaders of the forum, Okamuta C.K Egbu said the Jewish atonement period is near, which is why they came to pray for the family to remain strong and united in the struggle.

“Many IPOB members have fallen short of glory, but they should come back and remain focused on the leadership structure Kanu set up, for it is only Kanu that can lead Biafra to the promised land and no other person,” Egbu said.

He appealed to President Tinubu to have compassion and release Kanu so that he can go and worship his Creator.

Responding, the younger sister of the IPOB leader, Nnenna Kate Kanu said all that his brother had said now about Nigeria, has come to pass, adding that every right-thinking person expects President Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu without further delay.

Ms. Kanu expressed optimism that despite the present challenges, Biafra would be actualized in no distant time.
