Nigerians Have Forever Lost The Respect Once Bestowed on Saraki
The most disappointing of all the rogue WhatsApp group members is former Senate President Bukola Saraki. As a former Senate President who once occupied one of the highest legislative offices in the land and played a role in making the laws of Nigeria, one would have expected him to uphold and defend the rule of law at all times.
Instead, he chose to associate with the criminality of three men who, without the constitutionally required two-thirds quorum of 18 members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC), formed a WhatsApp group and called it the PDP. Rather than condemn this fundamental illegality, Saraki overlooked it and proceeded to celebrate and endorse their actions.
It is at this point that Bukola Saraki forever lost the integrity and moral standing that many Nigerians once bestowed upon him. A man who once stood as the custodian of lawmaking should never have lent his name, reputation, and influence to such criminality and blatant disregard for due process. What A Shame!!!
