The Sole Administrator of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero (AFUSTA), Prof. Ismaila Arzika-Mungadi, has appointed an acting Registrar and acting Bursar for the institution.
Kebbi Government had earlier dissolved all management staff and board members over unresolved issues.
Arzika-Mungadi was appointed as Sole Administrator of the university last week to oversee its affairs.
In a statement released through the university’s Public Relations Officer, Mustapha Mansur-Ango, the sole administrator announced the appointments of Nura Mohammed-Kindi as acting Registrar and Murtala Alhaji-Yahaya as acting Bursar.
“The appointments were approved by the Sole Administrator, Prof. Ismaila Arzika-Mungadi, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure effective administrative and financial management of the institution pending the appointment of substantive principal officers,” he said.
Mansur-Ango quoted the sole administrator congratulating the appointees, while urging them to discharge their duties with diligence, commitment, transparency, and high sense of responsibility in line with the university’s vision and guiding principles.
Arzika-Mungadi expressed confidence in their capacity, experience, and dedication to sustain administrative efficiency, accountability, and the overall progress of the university.
The institution’s image maker also revealed that the university community congratulated the new appointees and wished them success in their roles.
