Nigeria is hosting the 5th edition of the Nigeria Women’s Invitational T20I Tournament in Lagos. To honor a pioneer of African cricket development who passed away in 2024, the tournament has been officially renamed the Patricia Kambarami Cup.

​While teams begin arriving on March 18, the match action officially starts on Friday, March 20, 2026.  (Opening ball: March 20) at The Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) Cricket Oval, Lagos

​The 2026 edition features five nations, notably including youth sides to foster development. With debutant countries like

South Africa U-19, Zimbabwe U-19, The tournament kicks off with high-stakes regional match-ups; Ghana vs. Rwanda

Nigeria vs. Sierra Leone

This tournament has become West Africa’s premier women’s cricket event. After winning in 2023 but losing the title to Tanzania in 2024 (who are not participating this year), Nigeria is looking to reclaim the trophy on home soil. The inclusion of the South African and Zimbabwean U-19 teams is seen as a major milestone for the competitive level of the event.
